Differentials

Different drive wheels (the wheels to which the engine delivers power) on the same axle can revolve at various speeds, such as when the automobile is turning, thanks to the differential, which is a series of gears. A driveshaft can reverse direction by passing through a differential. For instance, in a rear-wheel-drive vehicle, the driveshaft joins and transfers power to an axle that runs perpendicular to the vehicle to drive the left and right wheels. Although there may be a suggested service interval to check and/or replenish the oil, differentials are low-maintenance, sealed parts that are anticipated to last the life of the vehicle.
