Driving Lights

Daytime running lights, not to be confused with low beams, are intended to make you more visible to other drivers. They typically comprise of front and rear lights that switch on automatically when you start the engine. Local laws may differ, but in general, a modern car is designed to fit the local standards.

Low beams (or dipped headlights) provide enough light to see where you're going without creating excessive glare that could blind oncoming vehicles. Low beams are necessary for driving at night, but they have also been shown to improve visibility and safety when used during the day, such as in inclement weather (rain, snow, sleet or fog)
