Fuel Lines

Fuel and vapour lines and hoses connect the different parts of the fuel system. These enable fuel delivery to the carburetor, fuel vapour transportation, and fuel return to the tank. Fuel lines need to be laid out in a way that keeps them as cold as feasible. Any area of the line that is exposed to a lot of heat may cause the gasoline to vapourize more quickly than the fuel pump can produce suction. Fuel vaporisation can also be brought on by a fuel pump with a lower pressure or partial vacuum. This situation causes a vapour lock, in which the fuel pump only provides vapour to the carburettor and the vapour escapes via the bowl vent without providing gasoline to the engine.
