Gauge Components

Instruments that measure pressure, dimensions, levels, etc. are called mechanical gauges. Direct-reading rules to digital LCDs are among the displays available from these mechanical or electro-mechanical technologies. Depending on their readouts, pressure gauges are categorised as analogue or digital. Dimensional gauges are unique to machining processes and are categorised by the quantity they measure, such as bore diameter, depth, or height. Fluid levels in pressure vessels and tanks are measured by level gauges. Other gauges are used for very specific measuring tasks, such as measuring screw threads or spark plug gaps.
